What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming,

which basically gives you a chance to understand why you, and others around you, behave the way you currently do.  




So what is coaching?

Coaching is an interactive process which unlocks your potential so you can develop and improve your performance and achieve your goals. Your goals could be initiated through work or personal demands. Coaching bases itself on the philosophy that within all of us we hold the answers which will enable us to achieve our goals. I become a decision catalyst and enable you to move forward and make the changes you feel necessary so you can live your life to your full potential.  


How is coaching different to therapy or mentoring?

Everyone has their own place for different people at different stages of their life. Imagine yourself standing on a time line - a therapist will look at events and issues from your past and how they impact on your present. A mentor will advise you as to how to improve your present and future based on their own experiences. A coach will look at your present, your strengths and barriers, and help you plan for the future. Coaching and therapy have many similarities, but coaches will not give advice.


Why is your coaching different?

Ever feel that you are going around in circles?  That there are plans and ambitions which appear to be very important to you and yet you never get started or stick to them?  Coaching gives you the time and space to think and reflect. It will help you explore your life at the present and plan for the future you want.  Although I will work with you, it is up to you to challenge or reflect upon ideas to help you move forward. You will never be forced to make any decisions and all sessions will be confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately.  I will give you the space and time to quieten your mind to allow your true wisdom to come to the surface.


What happens during a coaching session?

The sessions can be face to face, by phone or via Skype. I will listen to you, ask you questions, support you and empathise with you. You will be encouraged to explore how you can make your dreams a reality! If you need to contact me between sessions, this should be done by email – I will always endeavour to respond within 24 hours.


Sessions last between 45 minutes and an hour.







I have a comfortable, safe environment in Bedford which has been custom-built for Happy Monday Feeling.


I do not make home visits, but will consider meeting  within a 30-mile radius of Bedford at a suitable location.  The appointment can be made any time on Monday or at the weekend – I’m also happy to arrange the meeting any evening between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.  

What are your session rates?

I would never knowingly exclude someone from coaching because they couldn't afford to pay.  It is tempting to invite you to pay what you think the session was worth, but this is something we can discuss after our initial chat.



How do I pay?

Payments can be made in cash, by cheque or through PayPal in advance of the sessions.


What do I do next?

Make the decision that the time is right to make your life – and others around you – more fulfilling than you ever thought possible. Come and have a relaxed chat with me - tell me what is going on in your life, and  will see if there is anything I can do to help you see things differently.


Are my contact details passed onto anyone else?

I recognise that anything you share is regarded as private and confidential, whether it is business or personal information. The only exception to this confidentiality would be if the information caused serious or mortal danger to a minor, the client or another party. The coach would then advise the client that the confidentiality would be broken for this specific reason.




Where does NLP and Hypnotherapy come in?

You may have something that is getting in the way of your day to day life – like a fear of spiders, worries about flying, or the inability to resist chocolate. Or maybe it could be that the same thing keeps happening again and again, and you now realise the time to change is now.  Having trust in your practitioner is important, together with the knowledge that everything discussed is confidential and not judged in any way.


Using NLP and sometimes hypnotherapy, we can allow you to explore your life options without staying in the patterns you may have already set up - remember, if you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got!
